Interparliamentary Conference on Digitalisation

3 – 4 November

At the Interparliamentary Conference on Digitalisation, the Danish Parliament's committees, together with parliamentarians from across Europe, will focus on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the relationship between regulation and innovation.

The Danish Parliament's Committee on Digitalisation and IT is hosting a thematic conference on digitalisation. Digitalisation is a high-priority topic in Denmark and the EU. To make the debate more concrete, the Committee on Digitalisation and IT has decided to divide the conference into two thematic sessions:

  1. The Digital Services Act (DSA): The act came into force in 2022 and governs everything from the smallest web shops to the largest social media platforms. The conference will focus on two aspects of the Digital Service Act: children's online safety and the discussion of online market platforms, including how consumer rights can be enforced.
  2. The Relationship Between Regulation and Innovation: How does the EU strike the right balance between regulation and innovation? And what does it mean that the EU relies on foreign suppliers for 80% of its digital products, services, and infrastructure?

The two sessions will include presentations from relevant experts and politicians, as well as debates among the parliamentarians.

The Interparliamentary Conference on Digitalisation will be held on 3 - 4 November 2025 at the LEGOLAND Hotel & Conference in Billund.
